I took this short series while at the capitol building in Denver this last school year. I represented my high school at an education hearing; the state wanted to reduce or cut off funding for online classes, so I went to speak on behalf of NOT reducing funding, because why in hell would you reduce funding for education? Well, why in hell would we Americans be so stupid as to re-elect Bush... but anyway.
So I really enjoyed being there that day, and I was just inspired. I still have an interest in politics, just because I want to change things for our country, but it's so blurry now, these lines of value and structure in our society. I don't even know what our country stands for anymore. And it certainly isn't "freedom". It's a little depressing to be a part of a nation that has lost its pride, its dignity. So I suppose this series is a lament, of sorts.
This one is my favourite of the two shots from inside. There is more to look at in this shot, more colours, more patterns, layers... textures... it's gorgeous. I love your composition for this too, ohh - amazing! It's wonderful so off centre like this and the light at the top... it's almost heavenly for some reason tome... but I love it No negitives here

Wee, it's my fave too! I couldn't believe how well this turned out... I guess I just get really inspired to look at a composition when there's more interest in looking... if that makes sense. Like, when the thing or place I'm photographing is exceptional in beauty or aesthetic interest, I'll take better shots... hehe, yeah. I'm rambling on now! Thank you so much, dear. I really appreciate your words....
I know what you mean, because I think we are more inspired and driven to capture the absolute beauty that we see with our own eyes. Perhaps we take more time to admire it's beauty. I looked at this photo for a few minutes
You're welcome, love.

This is really the best of the two pictures. The composition is perfect really. I don't think you could make that better. I love the colours and the shape the structure has. It's a very beautiful place. I tried to take it to PS and see if I could improve it, but nothing look as good as this
